The gallery researched this portrait by Paul Vanier Beaulieau, a well known Canadian artist active 1930s-1960s. This oil painting, signed by the artist, was discovered to be from Beaulieau's time in a WWII prisoner of war camp in Germany. The background research led to an increase in the final sale price of this unique work.
